PASADENA, CALIFORNIA, JANUARY 1, 2017

On January 1, 2017, Pasadena Football AKA "THE FRANCHISE" will never be the same.

To compliment our 10 Super Bowl Championships, A phenomenal induction into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame will take place with the induction of Ricky Ervins on New Year's Day in Pasadena, California.

Mr. Ervins will be the first native from Pasadena, California to be inducted into the best sporting venue in the world - The Rose Bowl.

A year ago PASHOF asked "When" and "Why' someone from Pasadena would be inducted and, most importantly, why it hasn't happened? We even dedicated a brick at the Rose Bowl in honor of all who played, cheered and supported The Franchise.

That day has come, finally...

From his days of playing pop warner football at Victory Park, to his days of domination in that infamous Blue and Gold uniform at John Muir High School (which embodies decades of talented teammates, coaches, supporters, cheerleaders.....and competitors) to his days at USC under the No. 34 and the ultimate achievement, a Super Bowl Ring, Mr. Ervin's contribution not just to the history of football at the Rose Bowl, but his legacy as a valued, honored member of The Franchise will be forever enshrined in Pasadena, California.

To every teammate of Mr. Ervins from Pasadena, we thank you.

To every cheerleader who cheered on Mr. Ervins and his teammates, we thank you.

To every Pasadena coach who, mentored, motivated and inspired Mr. Ervins, we thank you.

To every individual in the greatest city in the world who supported football in Pasadena, in big and small ways, we thank you.

To every member of The Franchise who came before Mr. Ervins, we thank you for laying the benchmark for excellence. This kid from Pasadena, like many, made it!

And most importantly, to Mr. Ervins....we thank you for your commitment and loyalty to the sport of football. Words cannot express the humbling joy we get in knowing that Pasadena, California, has called you home.

Go, Pasadena!
