The NPYS seeks to accommodate each and every child who wants to participate in their programs, and they've done so for over 20 years. In fact, over its 20 plus years of operation, NPYS football teams have won numerous league and division titles. Past board members include life-long residents such as Tina Pitts, Mike Cooper, Minette Brown, Fred Wilfong, Maylon McCoy, Amad Andrews, Erica Mayweather, Tyra Adams and LaPorscha Andrews. Many of the talents on the high school level in Pasadena and those now playing Division 1 football, got their start with Northwest Pasadena Youth Sports, Inc. aka Pasadena Ponies (formerly Greater Pasadena Youth Sports, Inc.)
The Northwest Pasadena Youth Sports, Inc (NPYS) aka the Pasadena Ponies is one of the oldest youth sports organizations in Pasadena. The Ponies is a non-profit organization whose coaches, managers, board members, etc., all participate on a volunteer basis.
