Pasadena Sports Hall of Fame

​​​​In 1990, Mr. Augmon secured his legacy in the NCAA when the Running Rebels defeated Duke 103-73 in the National Championship.  The following year, Mr. Augmon received Second Team All-American honors.


In the 1991 NBA Draft, Mr. Augmon was the ninth overall pick by the Atlanta Hawks.  He was selected for the NBA's All-Rookie First Team the following year. 


​Mr. Augmon enjoyed a 14 year career in the NBA.  He is currently an assistant coach at his alma mater,  UNLV.

In 1986, The John Muir High School alumni led his school to its first boys' basketball championship.


​Sporting News All-American voted Mr. Augmon the  Most Valuable Player(4-A Division).  He was also selected to the Los Angeles Times' All-San Gabriel Valley Team. The highly recruited senior from Pasadena decided on UNLV - to join another Pasadena great- Jerry Tarkenian.  Mr. Augmon started all four seasons with the Rebels and, in 1989, was  voted the Big West Conference Player of the Year.


In 1988, Mr. Augmon was a member of the USA (Mens) Olympic Basketball Team - bringing home a bronze medal to Pasadena, California.
